I. Job Summary
The Community Mobilizer (CM), is effectively and efficiently responsible for facilitating the Implementation of interventions at the project level to ensure that communities are empowered for sustainable development and they contribute to child well-being outcome.
- Responsibilities and Tasks

| Implementation and reporting of planned activities | Participate in planning and budgeting, preparation of work plans, implementation of planned activities and monitoring/ reporting of progress. · Facilitate and monitor the implementation of planned activities and community level engagements. · Mobilize and facilitate the engagements of stakeholders during planning and development meetings, workshops and seminars. · Identify local level partners, support and facilitate the partnership in the implementation of planned activities. · Facilitate stakeholders and partners in supervision and monitoring of programmatic activities. · Support the collection and documentation of impact and success stories on monthly, quarterly, semiannual and annually. · Maintain and update ZID Database on a monthly basis Documentation of evidence based impact stories |
| Community engagement and advocacy | In collaboration with particular management, sensitize community empowerment through TEAM approach by organizing and community. · Mobilize and facilitate active participation of children and their communities to participate in planning, monitoring and implementation and evaluation of community development initiatives. · Build the capacity of children, families and community to collectively engage local leaders on identified issues. · Follow-up on commitments by leaders on improvement of the wellbeing of children |
| Support the Communities and partners in adoption of ZID | Facilitate the communities to set targeted community and service areas • Train CHVs on the implementation of ZID. • Support communities to identify opportunities • In collaboration with SMoH support capacity building of communities on formulation and implementation of ZID activities •Participate in fundraising strategies for ZID projects |
| Monitoring of the performance of CHVs | Support development of integrated monitoring plan in assigned area with area stakeholders • Organize reflection meetings at the local level to assess progress in ZID implementation • Facilitate communities to identify barriers to effective ZID adoption and propose community solutions for them. • Identity, and train community volunteers/monitor, partners and train on the ZID approach and partnership standard. • Provide support to Area Development Programmes on ZID adoption. |
| Maintaining professional relations with SMoH, INGOs, local NGOs and other stakeholders, working in health | Facilitate networking relationships and participation with wide stakeholders such as government, and other key partners at local level such as NGOs, INGOs, UN Foster partnership with the local institution |

Reports to: Filed Health/nutrition Manager.
- Contacts and Key Relationships
Works closely with:
Communication & promotion manager, Filed Health / nutrition officer, will have frequent interaction with Site manager & Admin.
- Working Conditions
As stated in the terms of contract and ADD HR manual. The position is based in the state with approximately 25% time spent at PHC facility & filed visit, under country is a security sensitive area and the Sr. Health and Nutrition officer -Health shall comply with, and be facilitated to operate within the framework of the ADD safety protocols. Close contacts are required with program partners, stakeholders and other organizations working in similar field in the program area.
- Qualifications and Competencies (Benchmark)
Required
- Bachelor of Public Health, Community Health Nurse MCHN & related field.
- At least 2-3 years’ experience in programming and PHC facilities, preferably in areas of technical oversight of primary and reproductive health care

Desired
- public health specialist with particular focus on maternal and child health
- At least 2-3 years’ experience in areas of technical oversight of PHC facilities in emergency settings
- Demonstrated analytic and conceptual skills in relevant field
- Knowledge and skills in resource management and ensuring accountability.
